We provide comprehensive debt advisory and execution services, including bond issuances, syndicated loans, structured credit, and other financing solutions across investment-grade and high-yield markets. We advise clients throughout the full lifecycle of transactions, from origination and structuring to execution and market coordination.

Our advisory work includes capital structure optimization, refinancing, acquisition financing, project finance, and liability management transactions such as exchanges, tender offers, and restructurings.

In parallel, we are active in the sourcing, structuring, and trading of physical raw materials and commodities, supporting cross-border supply chains and commercial counterparties.

Our Team

Maria José Arce R.

Vice President Loperin Financial

 

María José has been in the mining industry for over 15 years. She started working at the Ministry of Energy and Mining in Guatemala, in the Legal Area, reviewing and approving files to obtain exploration licenses. From there, María José grew her experience in metals such as gold, jade, and silicon, among others.

She worked very closely with China with different minerals and has extensive experience in various minerals, metal trading, and financial/banking instruments.

As Vice President of Loperin Financial, she is responsible for overseeing business operations and verifying the company’s commitments. She has worked in our Uganda, Tanzania, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, and Romania agencies.

Maria Gabriela Arce Powel

In-House Legal Counsel Loperin Trading

 

Gabriela is a seasoned in-house counsel at Loperin Trading, focusing on multi-national transactions and complex legal contracts. She leads joint ventures and strategic alliances, ensuring all legal aspects align with corporate goals and compliance standards.

A graduate of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Gabriela advises on financing commercial transactions from negotiation to execution and post-execution phases. She plays a key role in contract formation and provides strategic counsel on acquisitions, joint ventures, and business alliances.

Gabriela is barred in New York and Washington, D.C., bringing deep expertise in corporate law. Prior to joining Loperin, she gained extensive experience in Private Equity, representing the buy-side in middle-market transactions, conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, preparing term sheets, and analyzing business models.

During law school, Gabriela focused on business law, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, entrepreneurship, corporations, commercial real estate, and investment banking. She also served as note editor for the Northwestern Journal of Human Rights. Gabriela is fluent in Spanish and French, proficient in Arabic, and advises the vice-president on multinational transactions, investment opportunities, and international expansion.

Outside of her corporate role, Gabriela is committed to pro-bono work, focusing on immigration law and supporting small businesses.

Daniel Drabarz

Senior Independent Advisor – Debt Capital Markets & Investment Advisory (LatAm)

Daniel has partnered with Loperin Trading since 2019, advising on debt capital markets and cross-border financings across Latin America and global markets. He focuses on structuring and executing financing solutions across a broad range of products within New York and Brazilian legal frameworks.

His experience includes USD-denominated bond issuances (investment grade and high yield), syndicated loans and revolving credit facilities, and subordinated instruments such as Tier 2 and AT1 securities. In Brazil, he has worked on BRL-denominated debentures, Cédulas de Crédito Bancário (CCBs), and other bank loan structures, as well as liability management transactions. He has supported transactions across acquisition and project finance, securitization, direct lending, debut bond offerings, future flow structures, and restructurings, often involving multi-jurisdictional considerations under New York and Brazilian law.

Daniel combines strong credit analysis, financial modeling, and accounting expertise (US GAAP and IFRS) with a deep understanding of global capital markets to advise clients on capital structure and funding strategy.
